Both are CTC black tea from high-grown teas of Kenya and Rwanda. The red pack is our finest grade, CTC PF1. The green pack is our everyday grade, one step below the red, at a lower price. The pack colour lets you tell them apart at a glance.
CTC stands for crush, tear, curl — the method that turns tea leaf into small, even granules that brew fast and strong, which is why CTC is the favourite for milk tea. PF1 (Pekoe Fannings 1) is a CTC grade of small, even granules.
OPA (Orange Pekoe A) is a leaf grade made of long, open leaves. Our Taj Ceylon Green Tea is an OPA green tea from Sri Lanka, giving a light, clear cup.
Our black tea is a blend of high-grown teas from Kenya and Rwanda. Our green tea comes from Sri Lanka. Both are packed by us in Pakistan.
Boil 200 ml of water, add 1 teaspoon (2–2.5 g) of tea and brew for 2–3 minutes. Enjoy it plain, or with milk, honey or sugar.
Kenya High Grown Tea comes in 100 g, 250 g and 500 g packs in both red and green. Taj Ceylon Green Tea comes in a 250 g pack. All weights are net weights. Current recommended retail prices are listed on our Our Teas page; prices are subject to change.
